Beetroot hummus

Makes 1 bowl  All levels

Ingredients:

> 1 ½ cans of chickpeas
> 200 gr cooked beetroot
> 30 gr sesame seeds
> 60 ml lemon juice
> 1 garlic clove
> 1 ½ tsp cumin
> Olive oil
Les laboratoires culinaires & Nomad Spice chili oil
> Salt & pepper

 

Directions:

1 | 1. Drain the ½ can of chickpeas.

2 | 2. From the second can remove a bit of liquid and reserve it (you will add it in case the hummus is too thick).

3 | 3. Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until a creamy consistency.

4. Adjust the thickness with the remaining chickpea liquid, if necessary.

5. Adjust the seasoning with salt & pepper and with the chili oil, depending on the level of spiciness that you’d like to achieve.

6. Serve with pita bread, fresh veggies, on pumpernickel bread or on any other way you like.
