Chef Maya Joundi

Self-taught Chef

Born in Syria from a Damascene mother and an Aleppo father, Maya grew up between two thousand-year-old towns whose culinary culture is distinct. From an early age, she learned from her maternal grandmother the secrets of intergenerational recipes.

In addition to her work as executive assistant in watchmaking, Maya regularly held a host table on behalf of Cultural Associations. Today, she devotes herself entirely to her vocation, which is to promote Levantine and Arab culture through her culinary art, language and music.

In addition to literally applying the culinary techniques she inherited, Maya gives way to her creativity in a fusion of Mediterranean dishes.
