Francesca Amati is a 28-year-old Italian chef who has called Switzerland home for seven years. Trained at hotel school, she built her career from commis to sous-chef, working as pâtissière and chef de partie at La Dispensa in Neuchâtel, then as sous-chef at La Tour restaurant in Bienne, including a stint in a Michelin-starred kitchen.

A highlight of her journey was competing alongside chef Massimo Bottura — an experience that deepened her vision of gastronomy and confirmed her commitment to excellence.

Her cooking is rooted in Italian tradition: simple, honest, and ingredient-driven. She believes a dish doesn't need to be complex to move people — it needs to tell a story and leave a memory.
